From 2015, when I was but a fledgling defense lawyer:
"Since moving to the defense side, I have been able to visit many interesting law offices I missed when all plaintiff depositions were at my place.
Today I was privileged to visit the Reizen Law Group on Woodward in Royal Oak. The office appears to be in a building that was once the St. Mary of Royal Oak High School, built in 1925. That certainly appealed to the Catholic school historian in me. But I wasn't quite ready for the object d'art which greeted me in the firm's conference room. Mr. Reizen informs me that the original hangs in the Hermitage in Moscow. The blurred focus is due entirely to my poor camera skills and not by any desire to obscure the artwork.
Well, the painting did have some benefit during the deposition. The witnesses were able to use the portrait to point out, with specificity, the exact location of their injuries.
Another great day for Anglo-American jurisprudence."
